Meet Our Team
Stuart Calder
About Stuart
Calder Tree Services was formed in 2000 by Stuart Calder. He was Arboriculturally educated at Myerscough College, Preston, Lancashire, which is Britain’s number one college for arboriculture: www.myerscough.ac.uk. Since leaving college in 1998 with a National Diploma in Arboriculture, Stuart has worked in various countries in the arboriculture industry, such as Denver U.S.A, Baden – Baden Germany, and Stockholm Sweden. He also spent time working in London for the company who holds the Royal Appointment and worked in many of the Royal parks.
Before setting up Calder Tree Services Stuart worked as a freelance climber and worked for fifteen tree surgery companies all over the country. In April 2006 Stuart passed the requirements to become a Certified Arborist from the International Society of Arboriculture. His on going passion for trees and the natural environment has helped develop the business to what it is today

About Luke
Meet Luke our longest serving member of the team at 10 years. He is our maintenence manager. Climber and hedge expert.
A great all rounder. He is happy to do anything and has always got a smile on his face not matter the weather or the job. Eventhough his singing and whistling are awful.
Interesting fact about Luke – One of his legs is a lot fatter than the other.
Charles Owen (Chaz)
Lead Climber, Arborist & Crew Leader
About Charles
This is Charles or Chaz. Our not so northern northerner.
Chaz is our lead climber, Arborist and crew leader.
A very experienced climber with over 10 years of work throughout the Midlands.
He has been with us for 3 years. He loves a crown reduction and any sort of correct pruning. It is hard to get a normal photo of him.
Interesting fact – Chaz is a huge Liverpool FC fan but he is not from Liverpool.

Angus Calder has been with the team since 2011. Very hard working but he does sleep a lot at work. Likes to get paid in biscuits.

About Carl
Carl is our super groundsman, hedge trimmer and driver. He is a brilliant hard worker and is always on the go. Interesting fact about Carl is that he grows most of his own food and is a brilliant chef.
